Project Overview

This project is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council under LEED for New Construction rating system and was awarded PLATINUM certification January 2012, the only new construction urban project in our area to achieve such a high rating and while promoting both energy and water conservation in everyday use.

Project Details

This project consists of a 10,800 square foot two-story veterinarian hospital located in Olmos Park. A key feature for water conservation includes three 3100-gallon rainwater cistern storage tanks with filtration systems to supplement every day water usage as well as for irrigation system. Solatube-dome sky lights, daylight harvesting system, clearstory windows and packaged roof top unit systems are included in the design to achieve energy savings and conservation. The interior finish includes polished concrete flooring, epoxy flooring at kennel areas, carpeting and rubber flooring made of recycled materials. Custom casework system and quartz counter tops throughout; Foam filled insulation in perimeter walls to achieve noise reduction and high STC rating in the kennel area.
